I don’t fully understand it, but it seems like a lot of authors want to see their ads in action.
They ask, “Where does my Amazon ad show up? I want to check my ad is working by making it show up.”
First and foremost, the way you know if your ad is serving is if Amazon tells you by registering impressions and clicks in your ad reports.
I wouldn’t worry too much about seeing it in the wild.
But a couple of the places it will show up are in the search, on both mobile and on desktop.
If you search some of the keywords or the categories that you are targeting, then you may see that sponsored ad.
There are a couple placements at the top, a couple in the middle, and a couple at the bottom.
If you scroll through, yours might pop up.
Then they may appear in the sponsored product carousel, which is usually below the “Also Bought” on any Amazon sales page.
If you scroll through, (and sometimes there can be 30-plus sets of five to 10 ads), and keep scrolling, then you might see yours in the wild.
Those are the places where those ads will show up.
Those are the places where you will be registering impressions.
Hopefully, those are also the places where people will be clicking on your ads and buying your books!
