It’s now official: If you publish through the KDP platform, you now have access to ads in both the U.K. and Germany.
Now, this is pretty new for Germany.
There was a way through the Amazon Advantage account to have ads in the U.K. before…
But it’s the first time that a lot of people are all getting access to this foreign language platform.
Now from what I know, some English books do sell on the German Amazon platform.
But one of the reasons why I’m not going to do anything like, bid high…
I’m bidding no more than 20 cents.
I’m not going to really push things too crazy hard.
Because I’m not sure if English books will sell on the platform.
I actually do have a book in German that I’ll be heavily advertising.
But I truly have no idea if my other books will work on Amazon Germany.
And so I recommend using all of your smart, low bid strategies.
I usually bid 30 cents in the U.S., but I’ll be bidding 20 cents in Germany.
I’m testing out a few things here and there with paperbacks and my workbooks in Germany.
But for the most part, I’m doing exactly what I’d recommend for you.
I’m being careful and you should be too.
Don’t overspend, don’t bid too high, and just try things out.
But will English books really sell over there?
That’s the big question…
And that’s the one I’ll leave you with.
